Electronic Echo (Sampling frequency: 10 to max. 20 kHz, Memory size:
32kB, resulting maximal delay: 1.5 to 3 seconds (can be reduced by a
toggle switch)).
On the 23rd of Augugst, 2004 Andreas Bauer got his PhD for his work on
the analysis of weakly nonlinear dynamical systems via Volterra
series. For that event we built him such a system.
The (weak) nonlinearity was easy: every badly designed audio-amplifier
is (weakly) nonlinear. The bigger problem was to make the dynamics
acoustically perceptible.
We decided to build an electronic echo with a delay in the range of
seconds.
The design and the assembly has mainly been done by me. Thomas Falk
and Frank Dachselt (TU-Dresden) gave me a helping hand (see remarks in
the detailed description).
